FaithNudge (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, dashboard, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password.
  • Church and organization data: Church name, address, denomination, and other details you provide when setting up your organization.
  • Member data:Information about church members that you or your organization's administrators enter into the system, including names, contact details, family relationships, group memberships, attendance records, and custom fields.
  • Financial information: When you use our giving features, payment information is collected and processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.
  • Communications: Messages, prayer requests, and other content you share through in-app communication features.
  • Media content: Sermon recordings, images, videos, and other files you upload to the Services.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, time and date of visits, and other interaction data.
  • Location data: Approximate location based on IP address. Precise location is only collected with your explicit consent when using location-based features such as event maps.
  • Push notification tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect device tokens to deliver notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
  • Process donations and financial transactions
  • Generate AI-powered sermon activities (“Nudges”) based on sermon content your church uploads
  • Send push notifications, emails, and SMS messages you or your church administrators have opted into
  • Facilitate check-in, attendance tracking, and event management
  • Generate reports, analytics, and insights for church administrators
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. AI-Powered Features

FaithNudge uses artificial intelligence to generate interactive activities based on sermon content. When your church uploads or records a sermon:

  • The sermon content is processed by our AI systems to create quizzes, devotionals, discussion prompts, scripture references, prayer guides, and faith challenges.
  • Sermon content is processed solely for the purpose of generating activities for your church's congregation and is not used to train general-purpose AI models.
  • Generated activities are associated with your church and are only visible to your church's members.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not share information collected for SMS or text messaging consent (including phone numbers and opt-in data) with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third party/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Within your organization: Church administrators can view member information, attendance, giving records, and activity engagement within their organization.
  • Service providers: We work with trusted third-party providers to operate our Services, including:
    • Stripe for payment processing
    • Supabase for authentication and file storage
    • Firebase for push notifications
    • SendGrid and Resend for email delivery
    • Twilio for SMS messaging
    • Mapbox for location services
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, legal process, or government request.
  • Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of FaithNudge, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case you will be notified of any change in ownership or use of your information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Services. Church administrators may delete member records at any time through the dashboard. When an organization account is deleted, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Financial transaction records may be retained longer as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Secure authentication via Supabase with support for phone and email OTP verification
  • Role-based access controls within organizations
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring
  • PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your personal information
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
  • Withdraw consent for location tracking or push notifications

8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

The check-in system may store children's names and associated guardian information as entered by church administrators for the sole purpose of safe child check-in during church events.

9. International Data Transfers

Our Services are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our Services, you consent to such transfers.

10. SMS and Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive SMS messages from FaithNudge or from a church using our platform, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent. SMS opt-in information and phone numbers are used solely to deliver the messages you requested (such as event reminders, check-in notifications, prayer requests, and church announcements) and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third party/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. See our Terms of Service for full SMS program details.

Phone numbers and SMS opt-in records are protected with the same security safeguards described in Section 6 (“Data Security”), including encryption in transit and at rest and role-based access controls. 11. Cookies and Tracking

Our website and dashboard use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your session and preferences. We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with our Services. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
